Tech support at Gulf Synthetics, the manufacturer of Deck Revive, says the pecan stains come from tannins. To remove this natural stain, they advise using deck cleaning products that contain oxalic acid, which won't hurt the paint. Look for them at your home store in the aisle with deck stains.
