The AFM SafeCoat Concrete Floor Paint is intended to go directly on clean dry concrete without being primed. However, if the surface has oily spots or areas where there are stains that cannot be removed, priming is always a wise idea. If you are not sure of the primer, we recommend ordering a liquid sample of the Concrete Floor Paint and doing a test for adhesion to see if it can bond properly.
