Yes, assuming it will be applied over a clean, dry surface that has not been painted, stained or sealed with oils or waxes. Because it has no pigment, there is little UV protection.A better product, assuming the same requirements, would be the Vermont PolyWhey Exterior Stain which comes in several colors. This will provide good moisture and UV protection.If those colors don't work for you, then look at our Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Oil which comes in 45 colors and is zero VOC.Both of these are for the outside of the planter. For the inside you will need a different product that can resist moisture and prevent rotting. That is AFM Dynoseal.
