Hi, I'm making a bench out of a freshly cut log and looking for something to seal the wood and prevent it from cracking. Would this be a good option or any other recommendations? Thanks!

VNC Penetrating WaterProofer will certainly seal the wood if it is dry but it will not work well over freshly cut wood and neither will most other sealers. Also, when wood dries it often splits. We have no product that prevents splitting.
