I reached out to Vermont Natural Coatings as an outdoor shower isn't something we've ever heard them talk about with their products. They did respond saying you may use it two coats wet on damp to dry, clean wood. We suggest ordering a sample first to test. It may also be worth mentioning that this is a waterproofer, and that is all this product does. Your outdoor shower will look and feel like raw wood (except when it gets wet, water will bead on the surface rather than soaking in), this product has no topical finish and no UV protection.
