Provided the wood of your beehive is raw and unfinished wood that can take on a penetrating product, yes this should work fine. Do note, that this is a penetrating waterproofer, so it will waterproof the wood (so if water comes into contact with the wood, it will bead on the surface rather than soaking in) but the waterproofing is all it does. The wood will not have any abrasion resistance or UV protection, so it will continue to look and age like untreated wood. If you want UV protection and abrasion resistance and water resistance, we recommend Vermont Polywhey Exterior Penetrating Stain instead. This product has specifically been written up in beekeeping magazines and featured on beekeeping youtube postings as the go-to finish for hives.
