We would not recommend using the exterior penetrating waterproofer in your bathroom. It will waterproof your wood, however it provides nothing in the way of abrasion resistance, nor UV resistance, so your wood will look and feel like raw unfinished lumber, except when it gets wet, then water will bead on the surface. As this is a waterproofer, it also means you will not be able to but any product over top of it. This product was designed to go over things like decking and fence posts, not for interior use.A better bet would be AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP, it's made for floors and dries clear, has a selection of sheen choices, and has great abrasion resistance. As it is water-based there should be minimal change to the darkness of the wood. We sell sample sizes so you can test and be sure you love it before committing to the entire project.
