The Vermont Penetrating Water Proofer is a penetrating product that soaks into raw wood and leaves no film, no surface smoothness. It's invisible unless the wood gets wet, and then water beads on the surface as opposed to soaking into the wood. It does not make the wood slick like a topical sealer would.
