Vermont Water Proofer is not a pesticide and it does not repel carpenter bees. It just waterproofs wood. There are few products that repel carpenter bees as they will bore through almost any wooden surface. The best way is to trap them. Traps are available online through other retailers and work very well. After filling hundreds of 3/8" holes on the facia of my roof, I decided to find a better way and it definitely works. I've used a dozen of these traps around my house and have almost zero holes.
