Please do not try to mix stains as it is very difficult and rarely works. Multiple coats will yield darker colors but mixing them will yield some weird colors.
I'm trying to match an existing stain on wood that has water damage without re-staining the non-damaged areas. Can two colors be mixed to obtain a closer match?
