I have a one-year-old cedar wood fence. I'd like to put a non-toxic clear stain on it to protect it from age discoloration. I don't want toxic chemicals leaking into my garden beds. Any suggestions?

Use our Vermont Natural Coatings Exterior Penetrating Stain. This is a stain and sealer all in one. Darker colors will provide better UV protection than light or clear coatings. Make sure your cedar fence has been cleaned well before applying, or lightly sanded to open the pores. For below-grade applications like raised garden beds, we recommend our AFM Safecoat DynoSeal for inside and Vermont Natural Coating for the outside. We stock all the above and can ship immediately.
