No. It all depends upon the temperature, humidity and how windy it is that day. On a hot windy day, things dry out very fast and you must apply the second coat within minutes. On a cool calm day you might have 5-10 minutes. Best to work in early morning or late in day and never in direct sun. If the second coat beads up and does not soak into the wood, then you know you must work faster or wait until a different time of day. It's that simple.
