Vermont Natural Coatings PolyWhey Exterior Penetrating Stain is a non-toxic ultra low VOC product with low odor that was designed for outdoor woodwork. Application instructions are available on our website. Sanding is always the best way to remove dirt, grime, mold, etc. from old worn wood. Application to a clean dry solid surface is always better than applying to a deteriorating surface that has only been power washed. Two coats are required: the second coat must be applied immediately before the first coat dries. This could be a few minutes depending upon wind, temperature and humidity. We stock all their stains in quarts and gallons and can ship immediately.
