In general, Marmoleum sheeting (Striato or otherwise) should not be glued directly over hardwood flooring. Any little bumps or dips would telegraph through which would not only look unsightly but could eventually cause product failure. Sheeting could only be used over hardwood, if a suitable underlayment was installed first.
