I have a carbon steel sheet (lead-free) that will be used for a magnetic board for my kids. The surface is uncoated and bare and will need to be coated to prevent rust from oxidation. My kids will be using magnets and such on it, I want to have a strong coating that will not scratch or take paint/sealant off. Would this be good to use as a primer? What would the best paint and sealant be to used after the primer? This will be indoors if that helps. Thanks.

We don't have any option for that scenario.
