I know you said this isn't for area rugs, but I have an area rug and it smells awful of chemicals. Would it really hurt to use this on that? And if these products are NOT designed for area rugs, the instructions regarding wrapping the rug in rags while drying makes no sense. I'm desperate and need the carpet sealed before 2/27/24.What can I do if not this?
