I have some at home and use them for all kinds of purposes, but they are really starting to stink. The laundering instructions say to use chlorine bleach as needed, but I try to avoid any products with chlorine bleach. Is that really what I should be using?

It's wonderful to hear you are getting so much use out of the cloths. It's not necessary to use chlorine bleach, it's just a suggestion for those who do use it for their laundry needs. The key is hot water or even boiling water. Feel free to use any laundry detergent you feel comfortable with, just as long as you aren't adding any fabric softener. It's also best to wash these clothes alone, as washing them with other non-microfiber materials can shorten their working lifespan.
