QuietWalk Plus is non-toxic and designed to be a vapor barrier and an underlayment all in one. It also has a very low R-value which is better for radiant heated subfloors. It also provides more cush to any floor applied over it.Steico's product are also non-toxic; however, they are stiff and open to water vapor, i.e. breathable. They do not block water vapor emissions as required by most manufacturers of engineered floating floors. It also has a much higher R-value which is good for thermal insulation, but not as good for radiant heated subfloors.
