People have done it, but keep in mind cedar is tricky. Cedar can emit tannins for several years. So, if a person applies something to the cedar, it may well eventually force that product off in the areas it emits the tannins. This is the same with stains, paints, etc. If you do decide to paint it and hope, you will want to prime first with AFM Safecoat Transitional Primer and then this paint. But there are just no guarantees with cedar.
