I was wondering how would this product react on brand new western cedar walls and ceiling? Would the product stop the wood from discoloration from aging? Cedar in particular changes color dramatically with time so I was wondering how would a white color monocoat finish look on cedar after a 1-5 years?

Hard to say for sure as there are many types of cedar and Rubio can be applied differently as well. I'm sure there would be some change in color due to UV light but impossible to predict just how much it will change. While all wood ages, this product is a stain and moisture sealer. The natural pigments do most of the work of blocking UV. How heavily it is applied and how thoroughly it is absorbed by the wood will determine what it looks like now and in 5 years.
