I am extremely chemical sensitive so I am unable to use any stains or finishes with VOCs. I need to redo my hardwood floors as well as trim. Your Monocoat sounds like a godsend for me. My problem is, my wife likes at least a semi-gloss shine. Is there any way to use the Monocoat and the Universal Maintenance Oil to get a higher shine? I told her about the satin but she doesn't think that will be enough.

Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is a zero-VOC oil-based stain and sealer that is non-toxic. There will be a linseed odor for several days, but no hazardous air pollutants. The sheen depends upon how much it is buffed. The more it is buffed, the higher the sheen. You can also add some of our Bioshield Floor and Furniture HardWax if you wish to increase the sheen. Over time, however, all of these will begin to show signs of wear and will look less shiny. More buffing will bring back the shine. Another option may be our Vermeister Zero VOC Polyurethane finish, which comes in a semi-gloss sheen. It is a non-toxic ultra-low-odor poly that will require less maintenance and may be a better fit. It requires a freshly sanded floor and normal installation tools, such as a floor applicator (T-bar). Three coats are recommended.
