I would like to put a coat or two of oil on some wooden boxes that have never been stained. They are used for holding vegetables at a farmer's market. Which oil should I use?

We recommend our Rubio Monocoat Exterior Hybrid Oil. This is an all natural, oil-based stain and sealer designed for exterior use. It comes in about 50 different colors or a Pure which will slightly amber the surface. The oil seals the wood while maintaining the natural wood look. Rubio oils are zero VOC and safe for use around food. We recommend a light sanding of the boxes first.
