My painters applied one coat of the proper color. Now they recommend applying a second coat that is clear, but I don't see "clear" offered as a color?

Rubio Monocoat is a one-coat system. The manufacturer does not recommend a second coat initially, as it usually will not bond to the first coat once it has been buffed out. After some months of wear and tear and your floor looks dry or dull, you can apply a second coat of the same color or you can apply a coat of Rubio Universal Maintenance Oil. Both will rejuvenate the wood and restore its original luster. If there are some areas that need extra attention because they were not sanded correctly, or the finish did not take the same as the rest of the floor, your contractors may need to sand those areas again and reapply the Rubio as they originally did.
