This Rubio Exterior product is not in our recommendation list for wood countertops and if you are taking the Rubio route, why not use the interior grade product instead, Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C, Interior Stain Kit, which is slightly cheaper.Our top recommendations for treating raw wooden countertops are AFM Safecoat Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil (which is oil-based and food-grade) OR AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP (which is non-toxic, water-based, and has excellent abrasion resistance).
