Yes, the Water Proofer is an excellent moisture sealer. However, because it is clear, it will turn gray within a few years time and will need to be applied before it wears off. A better longer lasting product would be the Vermont PolyWhey Ext Stain which has mineral pigments that block the UV. This is also a non-toxic ultra-low VOC and low odor product that will protect much longer on vertical surfaces. Another option is our Rubio Monocoat DuroGrit which is a non-toxic zero VOC oil-based stain and sealer which will hold up very well on horizontal and vertical surfaces. We recommend ordering samples first for color, performance and your own tolerance levels.
