We are looking to coat and seal the butcher block surface of school art room tables? They are already sanded. Would this product be appropriate?

That is a very lovely finish. But it probably won't hold up to heavy duty use in the school on art tables. Instead, AFM Safecoat, 2K Urethane would be viable option. It's much stronger as well as a low odor, water-based coating that is exceptionally durable, highly resistant to abrasion, moisture, stains, chemicals. Order small samples online first to test to make certain it's something the school will like and approve.
