I would love to make my new butcher block countertops as dark as possible. What do you recommend?

We offer two water-based stains and one oil-based stain. AFM Durotone and Bioshield Aqua Resin Stain Finish are zero VOC stains and require three top coats of AFM Polyureseal BP for moisture and abrasion resistance.Our Rubio Monocrat Oil Plus 2C is a zero VOC oil-based stain and sealer all in one. All of the above are food safe but not "food grade," i.e. not edible. If you have toddlers who chew on everything, or you are cutting on the surface of the counter, then you will need AFM SAfecoat Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil which is "food grade." It's an amber color and will darken the countertop by 5-8% or so.
