Amorim recommends no underlayment. All that is required is a vapor barrier over concrete subfloors. No vapor barrier over wood subfloors provided there is good ventilation underneath. If you wish to add some thermal and acoustical insulation, an underlayment can be used. We recommend our QuietWalk Plus or 1/8" cork underlayment. Nothing thicker. Subfloors need to smooth, flat and level otherwise to much underlayment will produce too much flex and the click mechanism will not tolerate much movement.
