Hello Andrew. One of our most popular products is our Rubio MonoCoat Oil Plus 2C kit that is a stain and sealer all in one and is applied in one coat, hence the name monocrat. This zero VOC oil based stain and sealer has 45 color options, including a few in the grayish brown range. Another option is using our water based stain AFM SafeCoat DuroTone to achieve the color you want and then sealing the bed with 2 coats of AFM SafeCoat Acrylacq. This will provide a hard clear finish and will protect the wood for a very long time. It's more work then the Rubio and takes more time, but some people prefer this.
