Can this be used as a shower/bathtub surround similar to Dumawall products? I'm looking for a more natural and lasting product with the same ease of installation. If I glue these planks to either backer board or plywood panels screwed onto stud walls and additionally seal the seams/corners with silicone, would this be able to function as a waterproof surround? Thank you very much!

Waterproof cork was not meant for shower surrounds. Due to all the seams, it might be a problem with the adhesive being exposed to too much water. The manufacturer certainly won't warrant this application. We have heard of customers using our Marmoleum sheeting. That comes 79" wide x any length. If you run that to the ceiling and glue it with their highly water resistant glue (Sustain 1195) it may work well as a shower surround. Of course, this is not warranted for this type of use either.Good luck.
