We recommend our Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector.It's a zero voc, oil-based product meant to seal new or weathered wood indoors or outdoors. We have used this product on IPE with success but the wood must be freshly sanded to allow it to penetrate and bond with the cellulose. The key is even sanding everywhere with a grit no more than 100.If you do not wish to change the color, there is a clear color option labelled "pure" but keep in mind that it's the pigments that block UV. I suggest getting a 20 ml sample size and testing it on inconspicuous spot to check for penetration and color aesthetic.
