If applying over a concrete subfloor, a vapor barrier is required for warranty purposes. Our 6ml Moisture Block will do the job. However, if you would like more thermal and acoustical value, you can use the QuietWalk Plus in place of the Moisture Block. If you are applying over a plywood subfloor on the second floor, then neither moisture barrier or underlayment are required but they are optional.
