I am planning on making an epoxy river table. I have heard a lot of good things about the Monocoat Oil + 2C Kit. How well would this work for sealing a dining table, against the normal wear and tear one might see there, like heat, water, and food spills? Would I need to re-apply on a schedule? Is it safe?

Although I am not familiar with this type of table, Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C can only be applied to porous surfaces like raw wood. It cannot be applied over epoxy and I'm not certain that epoxy can be applied over it. Samples are readily available for testing.This will be fine for a normal dining table that has been freshly sanded. Yes, this product is zero VOC and non-toxic.
