We moved into a house with an old carpet and we know for a fact the prior owners used lots of chemicals on their lawn. They left a garage full of them. Is this something we can use to clean and "encapsulate" any chemicals left in the carpet or is the only way to replace the whole carpet? Thank you!

If the option is available to you, yes we would recommend you tear up the carpet and start with something fresh. It's the only way to be sure. The AFM Safechoice Carpet and Shampoo sealing system is meant for new/newish synthetic carpets and formulated to encapsulate the specific chemicals used in the making of the carpets...not lawn chemicals. We do sell a wide variety of non toxic flooring options, including carpet.
