This product will work fine to waterproof your outside cat house, inside and out, provided the cat house is made of raw/unfinished wood. However, it will provide no abrasion resistance and no protection from UV light. While the wood will be waterproof it will continue to look unfinished and it will grey and age with exposure to the sun, and it will wear down like unfinished wood with no abrasion resistance. If you want something non toxic that will protect your wooden cat house and last longer outdoors between upkeeps, we recommend paint instead of the Waterproofer. AFM Transitional Primer, then two coats of AFM Exterior Satin. If you want to keep the wood on your cat house visible, you could stain with Vermont PolyWhey Exterior Penetrating Stain or coat with AFM EXT Exterior Polyureseal Clear. We sell samples of all our products so you can test to see what you like.
