I have used Rubio on my front exterior door. The area gets a lot of hot sun and the door has faded and is very dry. Is there a product that I should use in addition to the stain?

UV Rays from that hot sun are what is fading your stain and making your door dry. The downside of staining is you need to periodically redo it every year/couple of years depending on the levels of direct sunlight the surface gets. If you want it to last longer, you can use a darker color with more pigment. Other alternatives are to go with paint rather than a stain or (if possible) place foliage or a structure to provide shade between the sun and your door.
