The manufacturers of our Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C claim that their product is food safe. It is zero VOC, non-toxic, and comes in 45 colors. It is a stain and sealer all in one. While it is food safe it is not food grade.Our definition of food grade means it is edible (eg. for toddlers chewing on the wood) and we offer two products: Bioshield Herbal Oil and AFM Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil. These are organic oils and are only available in the natural color, ie. without stain. They will amber the wood 5-8% or so.
