Is the Universal Carpet Seam tape appropriate to join together 2 rolls of the 6 foot wide wool carpet padding for under my 13.5 foot wide heavy Persian area rug? I will also need the tape to piece together the leftovers of the rug for the remaining 1.5 foot width of the rug. Thank you

This product was designed to seal seams of carpet and requires a professional to apply correctly. It is not made for carpet padding.To keep wool carpet pad together, you can sew the pieces together with needle and thread or tape them together on the underside with duct tape. Depending on the size of your rug, you may not need anything if you have furniture holding the rug down.
