How does it hold up in a shop environment where I'll be rolling around heavy equipment on steel roller wheels?

It will work well if the cork is glued down first. The hallway in our showroom leads from the elevator to the loading dock and 1500 lb pallet jacks run over it every day without issue. If the weight becomes extreme or the wheels are too small or sharp objects are dragged across the floor, that could be an issue. You have to be careful and use good judgment. We also use our Marmoleum sheeting which also works well.
