This penetrating water proofer product is a penetrating sealer, you won't be able to stain after using this, as it fills the pores to prevent moisture getting in the pores.If you wanted to do a stain, the Polywhey Penetrating Exterior stain would be the product to use. It is a penetrating stain and will fill the pores the same as the clear ( which would not have color) - the polywhey stain comes in a variety of colors.
