can this product be used on outside cedar benches? Is the clear a true clear finish or does it yellow?

This would be fine over raw cedar. This penetrating product leaves no finish. It is strictly a waterproofer, there is no topical coat, no abrasion resistance and no UV protection, your wood will continue to look and act and age/grey like raw wood. But it will be waterproof (water will bead on the surface, rather than soaking in).
