How do you compare this product (Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector) and Bioshield Penetrating Oil Sealer? I am looking to use something to reseal and protect my exterior eucalyptus wood furniture that has had some lacquer finish in the past but is capable of accepting oils at this time. The furniture company itself recommends a linseed or teak oil (but a generic one with chemicals of course).

Both Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector and Bioshield Penetrating Oil would reseal and protect your eucalyptus wood furniture. However, we are concerned about the previous lacquer finish since both products are intended to be applied to bare wood. The presence of a previous lacquer finish could lead to some areas not accepting the oil as well, which could create a patchy look. The advantage of the Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector is that it also has several colors of stain. The pigments in the stain protect the wood from going grey due to the UV rays of sunlight. Be sure to get a sample size of any color of stain you are considering because it will look different on different species of wood.
