it depends on what you are trying to do precisely. If you want to block off-gassing from Formaldehyde and other preservatives in the wood, we recommend AFM Safecoat Transitional Primer, which is formulated to block such off-gassing. If you are just priming for the sake of laying down a primer coat before putting paint on your raw wood, you can choose ECOS Wood Primer to go over raw wood which has no off-gassing preventative properties but is zero VOC in and of itself.By comparison, ECOS Wall Primer is formulated to go over previously painted surfaces.ECOS Drywall Primer is for new drywall. sheetrock, and bare hard plaster.
