Make sure to remove any cracking/chipping paint. Then, once all is washed and clean, prime with the ECOS Universal Primer (Int/Ext). Once dried, follow with the Bioshield Clay Paint. (Note: if the current paint is oil based, you'll need to instead prime with the AFM SafeCoat, Transitional Primer (Int/Ext) as that is the only primer we sell that will work over oil based finishes. Then follow with the Clay Paint) . If there is condensation causing any issues, you will first need to have that tended to as this will not paint well over that. If it's a persistent issue you may need to do foundation/drainage upkeep and seal the interior of the wall.
