This product is strictly a water proofer, it has no abrasion resistance at all. it goes over raw wood, and that raw wood will continued to look, age, and act like raw wood in all regards unless it gets wet. If it gets wet, water will bead on the surface rather than soaking into the wood. If you want something with built-in abrasion resistance, we would recommend AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP, which will provide a clear topical finish that will stand up to abrasion and give the wood a degree of water resistance.
