How long can expect the hybrid wood protector to last on a garpa deck? Does it have to be refresh each year?

Garpa is a plantation teak and as such is very dense and oily. As such it requires special preparation to open the pores. I need to know how has this wood been finished? Is it new? Does it have oil on the surface or some other treatment. Has it been sitting outdoors and turned grey?? Finally, what does the manufacturer recommend? Please advise.
