Can this be used on previously painted wood? I need something to cover my back deck. I have some concerns about traces of lead dust on the deck and I think painting it could reduce the problem. Sorry, neither ECOS nor AFM make a paint for decks. Both products can be applied over paint on a front door if it has been previously painted with a water-based paint or primer.For the deck, our DeckRevive may be your best answer as it was designed to seal old decks and docks.
