Hi - we recently moved to Hawaii and purchased some nice Westminster Teak pieces for outdoors. They are under an awning but the humidity here is high most of the year. We have extreme chemical and mold sensitivities and are looking for a natural stain for our new furniture. Can you tell me how your product compares to Rubio Monocoat stains and second how often we might need to reapply your stain if we go with it? Many thanks!

We do also carry the Rubio Monocoat stains and both the Bioshield Teak Furniture Oil and the Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Oil would provide similar treatment for the wood. The Rubio does offer a Teak color option as well. It really comes down to personal preference as either one would work well for your project. How often your outdoor furniture will need to be recoated is something that only time will tell. If the wood starts to lighten or look dry, you know it is time to reapply. We also offer samples of all these products, so you can test to find what works best for your specific wood.
