While exterior paint is formulated to handle exterior environments, there is no problem with using exterior paint for interior applications. (You would just not want to use an interior grade paint on exterior surfaces). Given normal circumstances (temps between 41 and 68 degrees, good air circulation), the paint should dry within 24-48 hours. The mild earthy odor of the paint should dissipate relatively quickly given good airflow and circulation. NOTE: If you are wanting to encapsulate and block chemical odors of a surface, as opposed to just covering a surface with paint, we would recommend you use the encapsulating AFM Safecoat Transitional Primer followed by AFM Zero VOC Paint. ECOS is a really great non-toxic paint, but it does not encapsulate chemicals and VOC.
