Can it be used on bamboo? (We have a bamboo deck.) Does it make it slippery?

Yes as long as the surface has been sanded to bare wood and is porous enough to absorb this finish. If your bamboo is strand bamboo, it is so dense that most penetrating sealers won't even absorb into the surface. We recommend that you check with the manufacturer and see what they recommend.
